FauxProof is a revision-control and integrity-record aid. You remain responsible for reviewing content and decisions before relying on them. The service is not a substitute for legal, medical, financial, or other professional review.

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant the service only the limited permission needed to copy user-selected files into your private project, store, compare, restore, display, export, and delete your project data and, when you explicitly request a timestamp content record, preserve that record and its PDF. Deleting a FauxProof project copy does not delete a separate original held in a connected host's file Library.

Portable backups. Complete .fpak backups include protected project state and current or historical file bytes. The downloaded archive is portable plaintext and should be stored securely. Import replaces the active project only after the archive passes format, size, and integrity checks.

Timestamp content records. A content record lists the item fingerprints and FauxProof timestamp shown in its PDF. It does not establish authorship, ownership, or an independently confirmed timestamp. Before creating one, you must acknowledge the separate long-term retention described on the content-record form and Privacy page. Public checking requires the full unpredictable record number; PDF downloads require the account that created the record.

Paid plans. Paid plans renew monthly at the price shown before you confirm secure checkout. If checkout shows a trial, monthly billing begins when that trial ends unless you cancel first. You can manage or cancel a subscription from the FauxProof Billing page; cancellation takes effect according to the date shown in the secure billing portal. Canceling a plan does not by itself delete protected work under the current launch policy; you can export your work or request verified application-data deletion through FauxProof support. Stripe processes payment details, and FauxProof does not receive or store your card number.

Do not use the service to violate law, privacy, intellectual-property rights, or another person's access controls. Do not submit payment-card data, protected health information, government identifiers, passwords, API keys, MFA or OTP codes, or other authentication secrets.
